DTBC U12 boys topped the league after winning on the road to SAS. This was the 7th win from 8 and Sundays game was a real team effort. DTBC boys took the lead from the start and never looked like they would lose it. They played as a real team, with some great moves, passing and scoring and on top of that their defense always looked good. 1st quarter was tight enough as the home side tried to put their stamp on the game but DTBC won the first quarter 12-10. 2nd quarter was all DTBC as they won it 18-9 with 7 different guys scoring. Half time 30-19. SAS tried their best to come back at DTBC but to no avail as DTBC had done enough ended up winning 44-35. It was a real team effort but MVP was young Christian Ward who had a great game.

Our U16 Girls secured the clubs first u16 Girls title in a long time with a home win against 88ers. With one game left against Blaze our girls sit 4 points clear of Blaze who they play again in the last league game of the season. A fantastic achievement for this group as they now prepare to represent the Region in the AICC's which is in Dublin in a few weeks. Anybody that can help out in sponsorship would be a huge help as this will be an expensive weekend on the club and the players. Back to the game and a great first quarter set the girls up well with 16-6 advanatage. The 2nd was an even affair but the DTBC girls lifted it again to put the game away in the third quarter with a 19-4 score to leave the result in no doubt. Speedy recovery to Nadine who has been out for a few games recently and we all wish her well. MVP today was Orla Carbery who is steadliy finding her feet as the teams center and is really improving around the basket to add to her already terrific defence and along with Sophie Carr are two of the finest players around at this age. Catherine Campbell also continues to improve while Kirsty Harron showed real spirit when it was needed for her team. Team; Catherine Campbell 5, Kirsty Harron 2, Aoibhe Timoney 2, Sophie Carr 19, Lucy Clinton 2, Aisling Murphy, Natasha Prendiville 2, Orla Carbery 16, Ciara Cox, Ava Maxwell, Orla Mc Gonagle, Courtney Harron, Nadine Battles. DTBC U14 boys finished their league campaign with a great display to topple their neighbors Ballyshannon. DTBC have had some tight games this year but this was their best game this year. All aspects of their play seemed to work a treat. Lay ups were a problem all year but not today as all seem to go in, but it was DTBC defense that laid the foundations for the win. They limited 88ers to few chances with Jake Grahams dominating the boards both sides of the court, and with Niall Prendiville, Leo McGowan and Conor Gillespie having great games, they deserved their win. 1st Quarter DTBC started well and led 13-6 after some fine baskets from Niall Prendiville. The 2nd and 3rd quarters were tighter but still DTBC won each one and led by 10 going into the last. Ballyshannon scored a couple of quick buckets but Jake Graham led the way and DTBC won by 18 in the end. 60-42 the final score. It really was a great team effort with all contributing in some way but MVP was Jake Graham who was unreal in defense and scored 22 point as well.
Niall Prendiville 13, Jake Graham 22, Daniel Quinn 8, Ethan Kenny, Oisin Mogan 2, Barry Burke, Leo McGowan 1, Ben McNeely 2, Jack Kenny , Conor Gillespie 6, Cathan McCallig 6.

DTBC U14 Boys finished their league with a disappointing loss to Ballyshannon BC. Once again they gave it everything but it was not too be as DTBC lead for most of the game until about 2 minutes to go ,when Ballyshannon came back strong and held out for the win. DTBC made a good start with Oisin Mogan and Jonathan o Driscoll scoring but Ballyshannon scored a few to leave it 6-6 after 1st quarter. DTBC came out all guns blazing in the 2nd quarter led by Shayne Martin , Daniel Coughlin and Barry Burke. They scored some great baskets and their defense was on top and led at half time 20-7. Ballyshannon must have got a good telling off as they started their comeback straight away, scoring well and stopping DTBC gaining any momentum. Despite Nathan Ward scoring a couple, Ballyshannon had cut the lead to 5 by the last quarter. Momentum though was on Ballyshannon's side and they eat away at DTBC lead.. DTBC were now guilty of missing a good few lay ups and this cost them dearly as Ballyshannon got into the lead and held out despite great pressure from the DTBC lads. MVP was Barry Burke who gave it everything.
John Anderson , Seamus og Caldwell, Oisin Mogan 6, Conor Gallagher , Bobby Hamilton 2, Daniel Cannon , Nathan Ward 4, Johnathon o Driscoll 4,Michael Boyle, Barry Burke 3, Cathan McCallig, Shayne Martin 7, Daniel Coughlan 4, Shea Byrne 2.

we had 15 girls available for our last league game of the season and they all got time on the court. The first period was a tigth affair with ballyshannon just edging it 7-10. We failed to score in the second quarter and only managed 4 points in the third and 8 points in the final quarter.Although we finished our league campaign with another defeat the improvement in these girls from our first game in ballyshannon in november to now is a credit to the hard work they have been putting in during training.More than one our a week is needed in order to develop them further.
Training will continue each wednesday and we hope to arrange a few more challange matches for the girls in the coming weeks.I would like to thank the parents for helping out with transport and supervision during the season.
